The CLA Game Fair challenge

Dupree Creative approached the CLA in late 2007, offering its expertise and skills to improve the functionality and design of its Game Fair website. Knowing the event and organisation well, we felt the event website lacked dynamism and substance. Our aim was to revitalise and improve it and increase the number of unique visitors to the site.

The Dupree difference

For the 50th Anniversary of the CLA Game fair, we designed a gold 50th Anniversary logo and gave a tired corporate look a complete makeover. Our website review proved there was insufficient information and user-friendliness. With a venue change every year, an adaptable system was essential for both practical and budgetary purposes. We created a bespoke content management system that enabled the client to change and add information as required. The site increased in size from 20 pages to 200, featuring rich and sticky content.

The results of our partnership

Our Search Engine Optimisation took the rebuilt website to the top of search engine rankings. Figures for July 2008 showed 77,668 unique users and 865,305 page views, 136% up on 2007. The time spent on the site, per visitor, increased by an average of 1 minute 26 seconds. The combination of a far more impactful look and feel, along with well designed promotional folders, leaflets, advertising and stationery items smashed the record for attendance at the Fair with a crowd of over 135,000 people.
